Kent Community Messaging - South Kent - Door step crime

As usual the word is Doorsteppers and cold callers should be checked out. If in doubt DON’T.

Dear Coordinator,
There have been reports in the Dartford area of people dressed as police officers knocking on people's doors reporting that there is a problem involving banks. They are then asking the householder if they can quickly check their bank cards.

These are NOT real police officers and this is not something that a genuine police officer would do. Never give your bank details to anyone in these circumstances.

If in doubt contact Kent Police on 01622 690690
